Ray Diagram For Diverging Lens

Formation of image:

1. When object  is at infinity image will be formed at focus on the same side of the lens. The image formed will be virtual, erect and point size as shown in  the fig. 1 in the table.

2. When object is placed somewhere between infinity and optical centre than the image is formed between optical center and focus. The image formed will be virtual, erect and smaller as shown in the fig.2 in the table.
